SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa could reportedly miss several weeks due to a calf injury. Bosa picked up the injury in practice this week and will definitely be out for this week's game against the Arizona Cardinals, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

This adds to the 49ers mounting defensive woes with Alfred Collins having already suffered a season-ending torn patellar tendon, Sam Okuayinonu with a broken foot, James Thompson Jr. with a high-ankle sprain, Romello Height a broken hand, and C.J. West out with a bone chip.

With so many players already sidelined, the 49ers are reportedly debating whether to place the All-Pro pass rusher on the injured reserve list, which would necessitate missing at least four games -- ruling him out until at least the 49ers' away game against the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 25.

According to KRON4's Ben Ross, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan expects Bosa to be out for a few weeks and there's a possibility he'll go on the IR.
